Ooey-Gooey Grilled Cheese

Ingredients

  • Loaf of French Bread, sliced
  • ¼ pound Havarti Cheese, sliced
  • ¼ pound Muenster Cheese, sliced
  • ¼ pound Provolone Cheese, sliced
  • ¼ pound Sharp Cheddar Cheese, sliced
  • 4 tbsp cream cheese, softened
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp grated Parmesan
  • Bacon (optional)

Directions

Preheat a large skillet (use a skillet with a lid) on low. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on each slice of bread. On half of the bread, layer a piece of each cheese, add cooked bacon if you’d like. Place the other halves on top of the cheese. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the top of each sandwich, sprinkle with parmesan. Place in pan, parmesan side down. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the other side of the sandwiches. Cover pan. Cook on low for 7 minutes. Once you see that the cheese has started to melt, turn the heat up to medium and cook an additional 2 minutes or until golden. Flip sandwiches and cook on medium for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan and enjoy your ooey-gooey grilled cheese!
